Structure matters
Structured data is usually easier to evaluate.
High structure
CRM, ERP, ticketing, database records, inventory systems, transaction history, project management.
Moderate structure
Email, documents, Slack, Microsoft Teams.
Low structure
Scanned documents, images, poorly organized archives.
Organizations running multiple structured systems of record typically receive a higher Data Readiness Score, because their history can be reviewed and prepared far more predictably than data spread across disconnected archives.
