How it works

From business data to AI deal

Big Data/Little Guy walks your business from a free estimate through a qualified, approved data licensing deal. Here is what actually happens at each stage.

The process

From data discovery to deal

01

DISCOVER

We help you see what data your business already has, across email, documents, and the systems you use every day.

02

QUANTIFY

We estimate the size and scope of your data, like volume, history, and how many systems it lives in.

03

QUALIFY

You complete our existing qualification process so we can confirm your business fits current buyer demand.

04

PACKAGE

Your answers are organized into a Data Partnership Profile that buyers can review without seeing raw files.

05

MATCH

We compare your profile against qualified buyer interest to see where there may be a fit.

06

NEGOTIATE

If there is interest, terms, scope, and pricing are discussed and shown to you before anything is final.

07

PREPARE

Only after you approve, we help prepare the specific approved data for secure transfer.

08

CLOSE

The transaction closes under agreed terms, and payment follows the process you approved.

Optional

Connect the systems your business already uses

Connecting a system with a secure login (OAuth) is always optional. It is only used to pull high-level counts, like number of users, storage used, data categories, historical coverage, and, where the provider's API allows it, the number of drives, sites, or repositories. It is not a full download of your data.

Connect now or later

You can connect a system today or come back to it later. Manual estimates are always allowed instead.

Estimates, not exact figures

Not every provider reports exact storage numbers, so some figures shown are estimates rather than precise counts.

Your profile

Your Data Partnership Profile

Your Data Partnership Profile is the summary that buyers actually review. It never includes your raw files. Answers you give in the qualification form fill this profile in automatically, so you are never asked the same question twice.

Why it moves faster

Built for faster deal flow

One profile, less repeating

You fill things in once. That profile is what buyers review, so you are not answering the same questions over and over.

Optional connections speed things up

Connecting a system can give us better counts faster than a manual estimate, but it is never required.

Clear steps, clear decisions

Every stage of the pipeline is visible to you, so you always know what has to happen next.
